Falling, spinning, yearning
Fusing
We burned like a supernova
Actinic blue light, pure ecstatic energy
Rending space and time
Consuming
We collapsed inward, all too soon
Shrinking with alarming acceleration
Contracting, diminishing, compressing, then
Dividing
We two stars drifted apart
Carried on separate vectors
Outwardly unchanged, but fundamentally
