SFEX 4203 was an MLW C-424 purchased from Canadian Pacific.

History

  • Built by MLW as CP 4206 in 1965 (serial number 84844) and classified as DRS-24b.
  • Rebuilt by CP as CP 1103 in 1995 as a control cab (traction motors and engine removed).
  • Rebuilt by IRSI in Moncton in 2004 as an operating locomotive.

It was lettered SFEX. It was delivered to ERS at the very end of 2004.

In 2011 SFEX 4203 went to Allied Services in Chicago, IL and was presumably scrapped.
