NBSR 2610 is classed as a GP38-3. It was rebuilt from a Southern Pacific GP35 and was owned by the Cedar Rapids & Iowa City Railway (CRANDIC) until late 2006. It and its sister, NBSR 2612, left Cedar Rapids on February 10, 2007 and arrived in Saint John, NB on February 25. It was CIC 110.

2610 was repainted into the standard NB Southern green and yellow in the summer of 2007.
