The CP Snowflake subdivision ran from Wood Bay to Snowflake, Manitoba. It was originally called the Mowbray Branch when first built in 1899, but was renamed to the Snowflake Branch in 1910. The line was cut back to Wood Bay-Snowflake in 1962. This branch line was abandoned after 1977.

In 1938, a mixed train left La Riviere at 14:25 on Wednesdays, arriving in Windygates at 17:05. It then departed at 17:25 and returned to La Riviere at 20:35.
In 1938 the speed limit was 25 MPH for mixed trains and 20 MPH for freight trains. By 1974 the speed limit over the entire subdivision was 15 MPH.
