The Ontario Southland Railway began operating in southern Ontario in April 1994. Since then, it has expanded over several former CN or CP subdivisions and provides service to local communities and industries.
The OSR operates a diverse collection of older diesel-electric locomotives, including three ex-CN FP9A locomotives that draw a lot of attention from railfans.
They have a shop in Salford, Ontario south of Ingersoll that has capacity for 18 locomotives.
